MTSO students and alums celebrate ordination and commissioning

Methodist Theological School in Ohio recognizes and congratulates its alumni and students who are being ordained and commissioned this year.

California-Nevada

Kenneth Schoon is being commissioned as deacon. In the fall he begins the Ph.D. program in Liturgical Studies at the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley.

Detroit

Matthew David Chapman is being commissioned as elder, serving as pastor of Bay Port UMC in Bay Port and Hayes UMC in Pigeon.

Bradley Luck is being ordained as elder, serving as pastor of First UMC in Hudson.

East Ohio

Victoria Richards is being commissioned as deacon, serving as pastoral care coordinator at Peace UMC in Pickerington.

The following are being commissioned as elder:

• Randall May, serving Firestone Park UMC in Akron.
• David St. Aubin, serving Dover First UMC in Dover.

The following are being ordained as elder:

• Jeremy Roseberry, serving Spencer UMC in Spencer and Lafayette UMC in Medina.
• Andrew Scott, serving as pastor of LaGrange UMC in LaGrange.
• Sheryl Seitz, serving as lead pastor of Clyde First UMC in Clyde.
• Laura Sue White, serving at Chapel Hill UMC in Mansfield.

Indiana

Julie Pimlott is being commissioned as deacon.

Adriane Curtis is being ordained as elder.

Minnesota

Hope Hutchison is being commissioned as deacon, serving as director of agricultural education at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn, Wisconsin.

Upper New York

Becky Guthrie is being commissioned as deacon.

West Ohio

The following are being commissioned as deacon:

• Seth Evans.
• Kara Jones, serving as youth pastor for joint youth ministry at William Street UMC and Terra Nova Community Church in Delaware; community minister and assistant manager at Common Ground Free Store Ministries in Delaware; music instructor at Delaware Music Academy; and field education instructor at MTSO.

Brittany Wooten is being ordained as elder, serving as pastor of Roxbury St. Paul’s UMC in Johnstown.

Methodist Theological School in Ohio provides theological education and leadership in pursuit of a just and sustainable world. In addition to the Master of Divinity degree, the school offers master’s degrees in counseling, theological studies and practical theology, along with a Doctor of Ministry degree.
