Denominations ordain and commission alumni of MTSO

Methodist Theological School in Ohio recognizes and congratulates its alumni and current students who were ordained and commissioned this year. The list begins with conferences of the United Methodist Church, followed by other denominations.

Detroit

The following were ordained as elders:

• Richard Burstall, serving Grace United Methodist Church in Britton.
• Leonard Clevenger, serving St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bloomfield Hills.

• Douglas Ralston, serving Good Shepherd UMC in St. Clair Shores.

East Ohio

The following were ordained as elders:

William Ranney was commissioned as a provisional deacon.

Abby Caseman, serving First UMC in Wichita, was ordained as a deacon.

West Michigan

Janice Lancaster, serving Holland First UMC, was ordained as a deacon.

Karen Brantley, serving as director of Hispanic/ Latino Ministries for the West Ohio Conference, was commissioned as a provisional deacon.

West Virginia

Karen Tate, serving St. Paul's UMC in Grantsville, Md., was commissioned as an elder.

Jeff Taylor was commissioned as a deacon.

Western Pennsylvania

Ross Pryor, serving Jefferson Avenue and West Washington United Methodist Churches in Washington, was ordained as an elder.

Christian Church (Disciples of Christ)

Aaron Phillips, who serves First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Zanesville, was ordained by the Christian Church in Ohio.

United Church of Christ

Sue Tamilio was ordained at Lakewood United Church of Christ by the Western Reserve Association, Ohio Conference, UCC.
