Certificate Programs
MTSO offers two certificates, for both laity and those in professional ministry.
Certificate in the Advanced Course of Study: Those who have completed the five-year Course of Study may continue their education by earning this certificate.
Certificate in Deacon Studies: For those who have already completed a master’s degree in their anticipated areas of service to the church, this certificate fulfills theological education requirements for ordination as a United Methodist deacon.
Certificate students aren’t eligible for scholarship support. Master's degree-seeking students are scholarship eligible.
